Manchester City showed once again their quality to totally dominate opposition teams and get big results. Favorites to win the PL title once again in a three-horse title race with Liverpool and Chelsea, Pep and his men are pulling clear.
A 7-0 trashing of Leed United was more than just a statement win for Manchester City, they were having fun in last night’s game at the Etihad Stadium. Fair to say that Leeds were no match from start to finish. City had not won at Leeds since 2003, yesterday an end came to that record. Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa had this to say about his team’s woeful performance:
“There is nothing positive to take away from our performance.
“I can’t find anything that can be valued. When there’s nothing that’s well done, it’s not individualities that fail, but the conduction and organisation. There’s no justification I can offer. The game was exactly how we thought it would be. We prepared ourselves to avoid everything that happened. We didn’t manage to get anything.
For City, the goals were scored by De Bruyne x2, Mahrez, Foden, Ake, Stones and new English playmaker Jack Grealish.
Grealish had failed to score in over 5 league games at his new club, however, the drought came to an end last night as he scored City’s second on the night.
